More Premium Seating on KLM Flights to Aruba and Bonaire This Winter

KLM is offering passengers to Aruba and Bonaire more options for extra comfort this winter. Starting October 25, the airline will deploy its Boeing 777 and Boeing 787-10 aircraft on the route to Aruba and Bonaire. These aircraft offer more capacity in both World Business Class and Premium Comfort Class, allowing passengers to enjoy an even more comfortable travel experience to both Caribbean islands.

By deploying its Boeing fleet, KLM is responding to the growing demand for premium travel. Previously, KLM operated the Airbus 330 to Aruba and Bonaire, with a capacity of approximately 30 seats in World Business Class. The Boeing 777 and 787-10 offer approximately 35 seats in World Business Class and approximately 24 seats in Premium Comfort Class, representing significantly more capacity in the premium segment. The number of seats in the other travel classes remains comparable.

Connected for over 90 years
The capacity expansion coincides with a special anniversary year. Ninety years ago, on May 31, 1936, KLM operated its first official passenger flight to Bonaire. KLM was the first European airline to introduce a scheduled service between Amsterdam and Bonaire. KLM has been flying to Aruba and Bonaire since 1934.
“For many years, we have been connecting Aruba and Bonaire with the Netherlands and the rest of the world. We continue to develop this route, responding to the needs of our passengers,” says Frédérique Pelger, Vice President of KLM Benelux, Dutch Caribbean & Suriname. “We’re seeing that our passengers are increasingly opting for extra comfort and personalized service. With increased capacity in our World Business Class and Premium Comfort Class, we’re offering that option.”

More Flights to Curaçao
This winter, KLM will be flying more frequently to Curaçao. KLM clients can choose from nine flights per week. In January and February, that number will increase to ten flights per week; during the Christmas break, it will rise to twelve; and during spring break, it will be eleven flights per week.
