Making of video of KLM’s unique orange Boeing

Summary

KLM introduced a unique orange Boeing 777-300 on Tuesday, 14 June. The livery features KLM’s familiar blue in combination with orange. The red, white and blue of the Dutch flag is painted between the two colours on top and the white at the bottom of the aircraft, emphasizing KLM’s Dutch roots and pride of the Netherlands.

A total of 335 litres of paint were used to spray on the new livery. By using multiple layers that are thinner than usual, less paint was required. Sustainability was further enhanced by using chromate-free paint, which can be easily washed. A team of 35 people spent four days spraying this unique orange livery onto the KLM Boeing 777-300.
