KLM traffic figures for January 2019

KLM Passenger Services welcomed 1.6% more passengers on board in January compared to the same month last year.

With traffic up marginally by 0.3% measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) against a capacity increase of 0.7% measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), passenger load factor fell slightly by 0.3% points. Passenger traffic grew most for our destinations in Europe and Central and South America.

“KLM’s traffic figures for January reflect a promising start to the new year. The favourable trend initiated by KLM in 2018 is persisting in 2019. In 2018, we carried more than 34 million passengers across the KLM network. For 2019, we will be continuing our successful strategy of cooperating with our partner airlines, deploying our fleet optimally and improving our products and services on board to provide our customers with memorable travel experiences.”
