KLM Cityhopper welcomes newest Embraer 175+ at Schiphol

Summary

KLM Cityhopper welcomed its latest Embraer 175+, registration PH-EXR, at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on Saturday, 11 November. This is KLC’s 11th E175+, bringing the total Embraer fleet to 41, which includes 30 E190s. Coming week the PH-EXR will operate its first commercial flight.

The arrival of this new aircraft marks a new milestone in KLM Cityhopper’s fleet renewal programme. With the departure of the last Fokker 70 in October, KLC’s fleet now consists entirely of Embraers. KLC currently has Europe’s largest Embraer fleet. At the end of 2018, the KLC fleet will include no fewer than 49 aircraft built by the Brazilian manufacturer. KLC’s 42nd Embraer is scheduled for delivery in December this year.

More eco-benign

The Embraer 175+ has numerous technical features that substantially reduce fuel consumption and, hence, CO2 emissions. Compared to the Fokker 70, the new E175+ burns 22% less fuel.
