KLM Centennial Run: running towards our 100th anniversary

The KLM Centennial Run took place in Amsterdam today in celebration of our 100th anniversary.

Runners completed a course of 5 or 10 kilometres in the woodlands of the Amsterdamse Bos, ending at the KLM Head Office in Amstelveen. More than 1,500 KLM employees and around 1,000 of their local and international aviation colleagues took part in the run.

KLM President & CEO Pieter Elbers, who is a great fan of running, also took part in the event, proudly wearing No. 100. He completed the run on his special-edition ASICS KLM100 running shoes, which were recently launched.

It was great to see so many colleagues taking part in the run. We’re doing whatever we can to make KLM a fit and healthy company. That’s good for our staff as well as our customers. Exercise keeps you fit, energetic and happy. If you feel good about yourself, you can get the best out of yourself and offer our customers the best service every day.
