Grand Café KLM opens its doors temporarily in Amsterdam Zuid
Since Sunday, KLM has been offering a renewed Economy Class service on European flights under the name Grand Café KLM. With this new concept, KLM aims to provide passengers with greater choice and flexibility during their journey. To give future passengers a taste of the new offering, KLM is opening a temporary Grand Café at WTC Plaza, next to Amsterdam Zuid Station, from today through October 30.
The pop-up café combines the atmosphere of a traditional Dutch grand café with KLM’s signature hospitality. Visitors can sample items from the new onboard menu, including sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Complimentary products available on board, such as coffee, tea, water, orange juice, and the iconic Dutch stroopwafel, are also offered free of charge at the café. Guests who would like to explore the full menu can enjoy their food and drinks in the café, while those on the go can purchase items to take away. Prices for paid menu items are the same as those charged on board.
I was on my way to work when I spotted the café and decided to stop by. I fly with KLM regularly and know the cheese sandwich quite well. I haven’t had a chance to try the new menu yet, but this chicken flatbread tastes great. It definitely makes me curious to discover the rest of the selection!
Grand opening featuring Alain Clark
Grand Café KLM officially opened this morning with a live performance by Dutch singer-songwriter Alain Clark. Throughout the rest of the week, emerging artists will perform live at 10:00 a.m. each morning.
Grand Café KLM will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., from today through Friday, October 30.
