Adriaan den Heijer appointed EVP of Air France-KLM Cargo
Effective 1 January 2020, Adriaan den Heijer is appointed executive vice president of Air France-KLM Cargo and managing director of Martinair Holland NV. He succeeds Marcel de Nooijer, who will join Transavia as CEO on 1 January.
Adriaan has held various commercial, operational and management posts at KLM, Air France KLM, and Cargo since 1995. In 2016, he was appointed senior vice president of Pricing & Revenue Management for Air France-KLM.
I’m pleased that Adriaan den Heijer has been appointed executive vice president of Air France-KLM Cargo. His experience in Passenger and Cargo, combined with his commercial and operational background at KLM and Air France, makes him a worthy successor to Marcel de Nooijer. I am fully confident that Adriaan will further polish the high standards of service that Marcel and his team have put in place in Amsterdam and Paris. I’m also glad that Marcel will remain within the KLM Group as CEO of Transavia. I wish both Marcel and Adriaan the best of success in their new jobs.
I am very enthusiastic about my appointment as executive vice president of Air France-KLM Cargo. AFKL Cargo is a global player with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and service excellence. I’m looking forward to joining the engaging spirit of the cargo teams in preparing our cargo business for the future.
