Transferring

Travelers from VTL countries other than the Netherlands can transfer in Amsterdam to the two VTL flights to Singapore and beyond provided they meet the VTL requirements. Dutch travelers can also transfer in Singapore to flights within Asia, provided they meet the stipulated entry requirements of the destination.

Flight schedule to Singapore

KLM flights from Amsterdam to Singapore are operated with either a Boeing 777-300ER or a Boeing 787. KLM's flight schedule from Amsterdam to Singapore is as follows:

KLM flight KL833/KL839 will continue as tail-end flight between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur

KLM flight KL837 will continue as a tail-end flight between Singapore and Jakarta

In addition, KLM offers its customers maximum flexibility in booking, changing or canceling their travel. KLM has also once again been awarded five stars by APEX, based on passengers' own assessments of the service and product.

On Friday morning (09:05 hours local time), KLM will operate its first flight (KL838) from Denpasar to Singapore (arriving 11:35 hours local time), continuing on to Amsterdam (arriving 19:35 hours local time). KLM is presently contacting its passengers personally, including passengers for whom their KLMticket forms part of a package deal booked by another travel organisation. Passengers who have already established contact with the KLM Social Media will be assisted accordingly.

KLM is doing everything possible to transport its passengers from Denpasar to their final destinations as soon as possible. What’s more, KLM is also checking to see if passengers can be rebooked to fly with another KLM partner airline to their final destinations.

The airport at Denpasar is currently closed due to the erupting volcano Agung. The flight segment KL 835 and KL 836, Singapore-Denpasar-Singapore, has been cancelled for both Tuesday 28 November and Wednesday 29 November. KLM has not operated flights between Singapore and Denpasar since Saturday. KLM has very strict rules regarding volcanic eruptions and does not consider it safe to approach or depart from Denpasar in the dark.

As soon as the airport at Denpasar has reopened, KLM will rebook stranded KLM passengers with destinations Denpasar/Singapore as much as possible onto its partner airlines, but only onto flights that will take off and land in daylight. The passengers who were due to depart for Denpasar from Amsterdam on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 November have been informed that their flights have been cancelled.
