Santiago de Compostela 

Santiago de Compostela is the historic gateway to the Galicia region in northwest Spain. Travelers can explore this UNESCO World Heritage city, famous for its unique walking routes. Santiago de Compostela stands out for its rich culture, refined cuisine, and its role as the end point of the world-famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route.

From 1 July 2019, a fourth weekly flight will be operated on Mondays. The departure and arrival times are as follows:

• KL0618 departs from Boston at 22.00 local time, arriving at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol the following day at 10.35 CET.

The ancient port of Naples is located on Italy’s southwest coast. The city has about one million inhabitants and is also known as the “Capital of the South”.

Naples was founded by the Greeks and is one of Europe’s cultural gems. The characteristic old centre of Naples has been a UNESCO Heritage Site since 1995. The city is also world famous for its Neapolitan cuisine.

About Wrocław

The city of Wrocław (pronounced: vrɔtswaf) has a population of more than 600,000 and is Poland's fourth largest city. Wrocław is KLM's fourth destination in Poland after Warsaw, Krakow, and Gdansk. Air France began operating a service to Wrocław's Copernicus Airport this summer. Wrocław is a lively university city where trade and industry flourish. It has a beautiful old market square, which is lined by pastel-coloured buildings housing cafes and restaurants.

KLM will operate a daily service from Schiphol to Wrocław using Embraer 175 equipment. This aircraft has 20 business class seats, an Economy Comfort zone with 8 seats, and 60 Economy Class seats.

• KL1271 departs Amsterdam Schiphol at 11.50 hours and arrives at Copernicus Airport Wrocław at 13.35 hours.
• KL1272 departs Wrocław at 14:05 hours and arrives at Schiphol at 15.55 hours.

• KL0635 will depart from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 12:30 hours and arrive at 14:15 hours local time in Las Vegas at McCarran International.

• KL0636 will leave Las Vegas at 16:05 local time and arrive the next day at 11:05 in Amsterdam at Schiphol.

Destination Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city in the southwest of the United States in the state of Nevada. It is located 380 kilometres east of Los Angeles and attracts millions of visitors every year. Las Vegas was officially named a city in 1911. The city is located in the middle of a desert and is the United States’ gambling and entertainment paradise, its luxurious hotels and innumerable casinos often forming the backdrop to Hollywood movies. Las Vegas also serves as a hub for several beautiful national parks, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and hikers. And to top it all, the large number of conferences and conventions held here, make it an important destination for business travellers too. The new KLM flights will extend Air France-KLM’s transatlantic network and strengthen its joint venture portfolio with Delta Airlines.

Slot restrictions at Schiphol

In order to open Las Vegas as a new destination, changes had to be made to KLM’s network. Partly due to Schiphol’s slot restrictions, KLM was forced to revise its portfolio of destinations sooner than expected. With effect from 29 March 2019, KLM will therefore stop flying to Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia. While the Freetown/Monrovia route launched in 2017 would have previously been given more time to grow in terms of performance, KLM is now compelled to deploy its fleet and slots differently.

Passengers with a reservation for a flight after 29 March 2019 from Amsterdam to these African destinations and vice versa will either be rebooked or reimbursed. Air France will continue to operate its direct service to Freetown from Paris Charles de Gaulle.

From 31 March 2019, KLM will begin operating flights between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Boston on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Strategic cooperation with GOL
Fortaleza was chosen as KLM’s third destination partly due to the cooperative relationship already in place with Brazilian carrier GOL. GOL’s strategic location, economic and tourist development, and new air links to major cities in northern and north-eastern Brazil make Fortaleza an attractive destination for KLM. KLM’s partner Air France will also be operating flights from Paris to Fortaleza as of today.

Three weekly flights using Airbus A330-200 equipment featuring the new World Business Class
The flights on Thursdays and Saturdays will be operated using Airbus A330-200 equipment with 18 seats in Business Class, 35 seats in Economy Comfort and 215 seats in Economy Class. A third weekly flight will be added on Mondays as of 2 July 2018.

• Flight KL 707 will depart from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol at 12:50 hours and arrive at 17:20 hours in Fortaleza.
• Flight KL 708 will depart from Fortaleza at 19:50 hours and arrive back in Amsterdam at 10:00 hours the following day.

KLM is currently equipping all its Airbus aircraft with a new interior in World Business Class, and the Economy Class is being renewed in a number of Airbus A330-200 aircraft. By November 2018, KLM’s World Business Class will boast only full-flat seats to its intercontinental destinations.

KLM currently serves two other Brazilian destinations: seven times a week to both Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The flights will be operated by an Airbus A330-200. KLM will cater to customer requirements by offering three different passenger classes aboard the aircraft: 30 seats in World Business Class, 35 seats in Economy Comfort, and 178 seats in Economy Class. Economy Comfort Class offers 10 cm more legroom, double-reclining seats and priority de-boarding.

About Astana
Founded in 1830, Astana (which means ‘capital’ in Kazakh) has been the capital of Kazakhstan since 1997, taking over from Almaty. It has a population of around 835.000. Astana is home to the Parliament House, the Ak Orda Presidential Palace, the Supreme Court, and numerous government departments and agencies. Astana also has numerous modern buildings, including the Khan Shatyr shopping centre and the landmark building Bayterek Tower. Astana will be hosting the Expo 2017.

From 3 May, this circle flight will depart on Tuesdays and Fridays from Amsterdam at 15.10 CET, arriving in Astana at 00.50 local time. It will depart for Almaty at 02.00 local time, arriving there at 03.45 local time. The flight will then leave Almaty at 05.10 local time, arriving in Amsterdam at 08.25 CET.
