Shipping Blue is a new worldwide package delivery service, developed specially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). All members of the BlueBiz loyalty programme provided by Air France KLM will now be able to ship packages of up to 30 kg to all corners of the globe at a highly competitive price. The packages will be delivered door-to-door within three to five working days. For each shipment, customers will receive Blue Credits, which they can exchange when booking a ticket.

</pp:summary>

Shipping Blue is both facilitated and supported by KLM’s extensive international network. Once the booking is made, the package will be collected by the courier. The shipment is then flown by Air France or KLM to the closest airport, where it is picked up by a courier and delivered to the addressee. A special Track & Trace service ensures that customers are given full support and gain complete control over the shipment and delivery process.

Saving for Blue Credits

Shipping Blue not only offers a useful service to the SME sector, but awards BlueBiz members Blue Credits. These credits can be redeemed against travel bookings, consequently lowering travel expenses for the sector. Shipping Blue was tested by 3,000 SMEs in the Netherlands. With effect from 7 December 2017, the service will be available to as many as 29,000 BlueBiz customers in the Netherlands and, shortly thereafter, to all the BlueBiz customers of Air France KLM.

http://www.bluebiz.com/shippingblue

<pp:quotes><pp:quote>

	About KLM
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was founded in 1919, making it the world's oldest airline operating under its original name. In 2004, Air France and KLM merged to form AIR FRANCE KLM. The merger produced the strongest European airline group based on two powerful brands names and hubs —Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The two airlines collaborate on three core activities while maintaining their own identities — passenger transport, cargo, transport, and aircraft maintenance.

	In the Netherlands, KLM comprises the core of the KLM Group which further includes KLM cityhopper and transavia.com. KLM serves 135 destinations using a modern fleet of 157 aircraft and employs over 33,000 people around the world. KLM is a leader in the airline industry, which offers reliable operations and customer-oriented products resulting from its policy of enthusiasm and sustainable innovation.

	KLM is a member of SkyTeam, an airline alliance offering a network of 926 destinations in more than 173 countries. The KLM network connects the Netherlands to every important economic region around the world and, as such, serves as a powerful driver for the Dutch economy.

</pp:boilerplate>

SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, today announced the introduction of SkyPriority, a series of distinctively branded priority airport services offered to Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers. SkyPriority has been developed to ensure a common and consistent service standard for priority airport services across the alliance. The roll-out of the program will start in March 2012 at selected hubs. SkyPriority will gradually be implemented at 800+ stations in the course of the next few months, reaching over 1,000 airports by early 2013.

SkyPriority will align all members to a common and consistent service standard for priority airport services across the alliance. The distinctive SkyPriority branding will help customers clearly find their way and travel faster through the airport. At the same time, it will be easier for airport staff to recognize and assist eligible customers.

Founding SkyTeam member Delta Air Lines created the SkyPriority brand and rolled out the product to its customers in 2010. Due to the success of the project, SkyTeam has adopted the program, making it the first global airline alliance to consistently offer these priority services on a worldwide scale, with all current and future members participating.

SkyPriority services will include:

Priority check-in areas

Priority baggage drop-off

Priority service at airport ticket offices

Priority service at transfer desks

Priority lines at security, where available

Priority boarding

Priority baggage handling

“SkyPriority is one part of our ongoing effort to improve the customer experience. By increasing consistency at airports, we make travel faster and more convenient for our customers,” said Michael Wisbrun, SkyTeam’s Managing Director. “This is the biggest collective SkyTeam project to date and a prime example of how our members are extensively working together to bring greater benefits to our customers.”

SkyPriority services will be distinctively branded at airports worldwide and the SkyPriority indicator will be displayed on eligible passengers’ boarding passes. The brand concept will be applied to each individual airline’s existing identity, enabling passengers to instantly recognize SkyPriority services at any airport.

Each member airline has its own implementation date and roll-out timeline. Some of the first airports where SkyPriority will be launched are Amsterdam, Atlanta, Guangzhou, Nairobi, Shanghai and Taipei. By early 2013, SkyPriority will be visible at over 1,000 airports. Following this initial roll-out, additional SkyPriority benefits will be introduced in the future.

For more information:

SkyTeam Corporate Communications
T: +31 (0)20 3333064
E: media@skyteam.com

About SkyTeamSkyTeam is a global airline alliance providing customers from member airlines access to an extensive global network with more destinations, more frequencies and more connectivity.
