<pp:quotetext>In view of the expiration of his second term, which provides the Supervisory Board a natural moment for consideration, we have, after consultation with Pieter, concluded not to enter into a third term. The continuity of KLM's leadership greatly benefits from being able to establish this at an early stage. It enables us to initiate a thorough succession process and also to offer a new CEO a sufficient induction period. It is also a time when the restructuring plan has largely been implemented, which positions KLM well for recovery and further development. With thirty years at KLM, eleven years on the Board of Management including two terms as CEO, Pieter has an enormous track record and significance for KLM. Partly for this reason, it is important that we are able to achieve a smooth leadership transition.</pp:quotetext>

It goes without saying that I am committed to supporting KLM in this transition to new leadership. I am extremely proud of this company and its fantastic employees. Especially in these hectic and difficult times, they remain the strength of KLM. My thirty-year career with the blue KLM family has been an unimaginably beautiful journey that I will always cherish. I very much enjoy the cooperation with my colleagues and look forward to this in the coming period.</pp:quotetext>

Due to the current situation, from the start of the winter schedule on 29 October 2017, KLM will operate two instead of four flights to St Martin. These flights will stopover on Curaçao. The frequency of weekly flights to Curaçao will also substantially increase.

</pp:summary>

KLM will soon no longer fly directly to St Martin, but will stopover on Curaçao. These twice weekly flights will enable KLM to continue serve St Martin.

Increasing flight frequencies to Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba

Flight frequencies to Curaçao are being increased. KLM currently operates seven scheduled services to this Caribbean island every week with Boeing 747 equipment. An extra weekly flight with an Airbus A330 will be added to the schedule from 15 November for the rest of the winter season. The two flights to St Martin via Curaçao are in addition to this service. Two more weekly flights will also operate from mid December to the end of February 2018. This means there will be 12 flights a week between Amsterdam and Curaçao throughout this period. This is a substantial intensification of the service, reflecting KLM’s firm belief that there will be increased demand to this destination.

The number of roundtrips between Amsterdam, Bonaire and Aruba will also increase. KLM will operate an A330 service seven times a week on this route, instead of the current six, throughout the winter season.

<pp:quotes><pp:quote>
