The agreement will give KLM customers access to more destinations in Italy and other ITA destinations in south-east Europe.

The partnership will allow KLM customers to book tickets to eight new destinations in Southern Europe. KLM passengers will be able to fly with ITA via Rome to Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Bari, Brindisi, Lamezia Terme and Trieste in Italy, to Malta, and to the Albanian city of Tirana.

KLM currently offers 18 daily flights between Amsterdam and Milan (Malpensa Airport and Linate Airport), Turin, Genoa, Rome, Venice, Florence, Bologna and Catania. Customers flying to Catania, Genoa and Venice will also have more options. In addition to KLM's direct daily services, it will also be possible to transfer to ITA flights to these destinations.

ITA Airways will also benefit from the new agreement. The codeshare agreement with KLM will give it access to a large number of European destinations, including KLM destinations in the United Kingdom and Scandinavia.

The two airlines now offer joint flights to Orkney Island, the Shetland Islands and the Scottish Western Isles. Thanks to this new agreement, both KLM and Loganair customers will have access to more destinations. Loganair connects to the extensive KLM network via Aberdeen, Edinburg, Glasgow and Inverness.

Gulf Air will place its ‘GF’ code on KLM flights from Bahrain to Amsterdam and flights from Amsterdam to Frankfurt. On the other hand, the agreement will see KLM place its ‘KL’ code on Gulf Air flights from Bahrain to Sialkot, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar.

The partnership makes it easier for customers to build their ideal trip across the Atlantic by combining flights operated by KLM, Air France, Virgin Atlantic and Delta. Customers booking on a codeshare benefit from seamless connections, and a single booking reference. Customers travelling on codeshare flights will also be able to earn miles, and redeem them via their own airline loyalty scheme.

KLM and Air France increase flight options across the Atlantic

KLM and Air France customers can now access 24 new routes to North America on flights operated by Virgin Atlantic and Delta departing the UK including connections via London Heathrow or Manchester. Customers can benefit from additional frequencies to destinations such as Miami from Amsterdam via London Heathrow alongside increased options to fly between Paris and New York-JFK via Manchester.

Virgin Atlantic brings the UK’s Regions closer to North America

Virgin Atlantic customers can now book a wide range of additional flights at virginatlantic.com – opening up 58 new routes from 18 UK airports across the Atlantic with KLM and Air France. Examples of new route options from the UK include Edinburgh – Toronto via Amsterdam, and London Heathrow - Chicago via Paris.

More options to fly Delta

Delta is building on its successful partnerships with Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic, giving customers from these airlines more opportunity to fly on Delta’s transatlantic services. Virgin customers travelling between the United Kingdom and the US now have the choice to connect onto all of Delta’s flights over Amsterdam and Paris. Meanwhile Air France and KLM customers have additional options to fly either nonstop or via the UK on all Delta services to the US.

Virgin Atlantic, Delta and Air France–KLM are set to form an expanded joint venture later in 2019. The airlines now offer jointly operated flights to its base on the Faroe Islands. Thanks to the new agreement, KLM and Atlantic Airways customers will have access to more destinations starting 24 January.

KLM will add a KL code to Atlantic Airways flights. This will allow passengers from around the world to change flights in Copenhagen, Billund, Bergen, and Edinburgh and continue their journey on the same ticket and a one-stop check-in to and from the Faroe Islands.

KLM will add a KL code on Widerøe's Norwegian domestic routes, which allows passengers from around the world to change flights in Oslo, Trondheim or Bergen to continue their journey with the same ticket and a one-stop check-in to a number of smaller airports around Norway.

As of 21 February, the cooperation will cover the following routes:

• Bergen (BGO) - Tromsø (TOS), Bodø (BOO), Kristiansund (KSU), Molde (MOL), Ålesund (AES) and Florø (FRO)
• Trondheim (TRD) - Tromsø (TOS), Kristiansund (KSU) and Harstad / Narvik (EVE).
• Oslo (OSL) - Florø (FRO), Ørsta / Volda (HOV), Leknes (LKN), Svolvær (SVJ), Stokmarknes (SKN), Mo i Rana (MQN)

For the future, we will work together with Widerøe to improve the joint offer for our customers.

The KLM codes will be added to eight destinations in the Winair network: Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, Tortola, St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua and Dominica.

Delta and KLM codeshare on these Jet Airways routes will provide customers with co-ordinated customer service, a single ticket and through-check in of bags to their final destinations. Delta SkyMiles and KLM Flying Blue members will be eligible to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles on codeshare routes operated by Jet.

In addition, Jet Airways will place its code on flights between Amsterdam and 11 destinations in the United States and Canada operated by Delta and KLM. These include: New York-JFK, Newark, Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Edmonton. Jet Airways will also codeshare on KLM-operated flights to 30 European destinations beyond Amsterdam including Madrid, Zurich and Milan. KLM’s service between Amsterdam and New Delhi also forms part of this agreement.

Likewise, KLM will place its marketing code (KL) on Jet Airways’ domestic flights to four major cities in India beyond Delhi, allowing customers to travel seamlessly to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai via Delhi.

Jet Airways operates its domestic flights on state-of-the-art Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft as also the ATR 72 aircraft, with quieter, comfortable economy cabins. Customers will experience Jet Airways’ world class in-flight service, seating comfort, choice of delectable meals on both full-service and no –frills ‘buy-on-board’ flights and warm Indian hospitality delivered by the airline’s professional and  courteous cabin crew.

Furthermore, members of Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege and Air France- KLM’s Flying Blue frequent flyer programs have a full fledged network-wide accrual and redemption partnership in place for many years. With the codeshare in place, members will now have the opportunity to earn status miles/points when travelling on the respective codeshare flights.

Air France- KLM offers 27 weekly long-haul flights between Europe and India.

Also an interline agreement has been concluded, allowing passengers to travel on a single KLM ticket between any airport served by Pegasus in Turkey and any airport served by KLM.

Mrs. Güliz Öztürk, Senior Vice President Commercial of Pegasus Airlines and Mr. Pieter Bootsma, Executive Vice President Marketing Revenue Management & Network for KLM, announced this agreement at a press conference held in Istanbul on May 22.
