]]>Cees ’t Hart is stepping down after ten years on KLM's Supervisory Board, which he also chaired from 2019. He is succeeded by the highly experienced executive, Wiebe Draijer, who was Chief Executive at Rabobank between 2014 and 2022. Prior to this, Mr Draijer was chair and Crown member of the Social and Economic Council (SER) and director for the Benelux region at the consultancy firm McKinsey.

Pierre-François Riolacci joined KLM's Supervisory Board in 2016. Stepping down at the end of his term, he is succeeded by Frédéric Gagey. Mr Gagey has more than earned his spurs in the airline industry, having served Air France, Air France-KLM and KLM in many roles, including Chief Financial Officer & Managing Director at KLM from 2005 to 2012.

On the recommendation of the Supervisory Board, the shareholders' meeting also appointed Bas Brouns as Chief Financial Officer. This makes Mr Brouns a member of KLM's Board of Managing Directors with immediate effect. He succeeds Erik Swelheim, who has stepped down at the end of his term.

He succeeds Erik Swelheim, who will step down at the 2024 shareholders’ meeting at the end of his current term, after 12 years as KLM’s CFO. Bas Brouns (52) is currently Senior Vice President Corporate Controller at KLM. He has worked at KLM for almost 27 years in various financial positions.

]]>KLM’s Works Council has positively advised on the nomination of Bas. Assuming shareholder approval on 24 April 2024, KLM’s Managing Board will consist of Marjan Rintel (CEO), Bas Brouns (CFO), Maarten Stienen (COO), Miriam Kartman (CPO) and Barry ter Voert (CXO, business development).
