                        <title>KLM strengthens position in Africa</title>

<p>KLM will operate its flights to Freetown and Monrovia using Airbus 330-200s which can seat 267 passengers. Flight KL0511 will depart on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 14.35 from Amsterdam and arrive in Freetown at 19.30, local time. After a short layover, it will continue on at 20.40 continuing on to Monrovia and arriving at 21.55, local time. The return flight will depart from Monrovia at 23.20, local time, and arrive in Amsterdam at 8.10, local time.</p>

<p><strong>About Freetown</strong></p>

<p>Freetown is the capital of Sierra Leone in western Africa. The city features a harbour on the Atlantic Ocean which is a major source of the country&rsquo;s economic development. Fish packing, rice, diamond polishing, cigarette production, and oil refining are all important industries there. What is more, Freetown possesses a unique and rich history, and a number of interesting sights.</p>

<p><strong>About Monrovia</strong></p>

<p>Not only is Monrovia the capital of Liberia, it is also the country&rsquo;s largest city. It is the location of the most important harbour and is the country&rsquo;s administrative, financial, and commercial centre.</p>

	With effect from the start of the new winter schedule on 31 October 2010, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will launch scheduled service between Amsterdam and Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. Kigali will then become KLM&rsquo;s 64th intercontinental destination.</p>

]]></pp:boilerplate><description><![CDATA[<p>Five flights a week will be offered to Kigali with an intermediate stopover in Entebbe. The flights will be operated using Airbus A330-200 equipment. This aircraft type offers seats for 243 passengers; 30 in World Business Class and 213 in Economy Class.</p><p>KLM President & CEO Peter Hartman: &ldquo;Adding Kigali as a new destination strengthens KLM&rsquo;s position in East Africa. This region is of key importance to the extensive Air France-KLM network.&rdquo;</p><p>Together with partner airline Kenya Airways, KLM will offer Kigali as the 5th destination served directly in East Africa, along with Nairobi, Entebbe, Kilimanjaro and Dar Es Salaam. KLM-Kenya Airways operates a total of 41 weekly flights between East Africa and Europe.</p><p>With effect from 31 October 2010, flight KL563 will depart from Schiphol on Tuesdays,Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 10:15 hours, arriving the same day in Kigali at 21:25 hours. The return flights (KL564) will depart from Kigali on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 22:30 hours, arriving a day later in Amsterdam at 08:15 hours.
