Shareholders approve appointment of Marjan Rintel as new KLM President & CEO

On Monday, KLM’s shareholders voted at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) to approve the appointment of Marjan Rintel as KLM’s President & CEO, effective 1 July 2022. The consultation process has also been concluded with the KLM Works Council.

Now that the shareholders have voted to approve her appointment, Rintel will embark on her first term as a member of KLM’s Board of Managing Directors. Rintel has been appointed for a term of four years.

Rintel’s appointment as the new KLM President & CEO follows her nomination by KLM’s Supervisory Board in March of this year. Rintel succeeds Pieter Elbers, who will step down by 1 July after eight years of service as KLM’s President & CEO.
