New collective labour agreement for KLM pilots

Today, the membership council of the Dutch Air Line Pilots Association (VNV) ratified the agreement in principle reached previously between KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and the VNV. KLM is pleased that the new collective labour agreement for KLM’s pilots has taken concrete shape and will now begin with its implementation.

The terms set down in the agreement in principle reached on 1 May 2018 have again been retained, including a 4% salary increase and a combination of reduced work pressure for pilots and flexibilityagreements for the benefit of KLM. Additionally, the agreement includes a more detailed intercontinental (ICA) application arrangement, which is of great social importance to pilots. A second change is to bring forward the introduction of the agreed reduction in work pressure and increase in flexibility for KLM.
