The Netherlands Bach Society gives surprise concert to KLM for 100th anniversary

On 26 September, the KLM Crown Lounge served as the stage for a beautiful, miniature, surprise concert by the Netherlands Bach Society. The concert was a gift to KLM in honour of our one hundredth anniversary.

A musical story

The concert took place in the KLM Non-Schengen Crown Lounge at Schiphol, where the hustle and bustle of the location stood in stark contrast to the tranquillity that the Bach Society brought to the audience. The music of Johann Sebastian Bach is known worldwide. By offering this performance, the Bach Society hoped to give KLM’s passengers a musical story by creating a sense of wonder and emotion that the music brings its listeners.

Start of the tour

The Bach Society members left the same day for Osaka on a tour of Japan. Their main aim is to tell musical stories, of which the concert at the KLM Crown Lounge was the just start.
