Misleading reporting in De Telegraaf

No Impending Job Losses at KLM

Summary

Reports of impending job losses at KLM in today’s edition of Dutch daily De Telegraaf are absolutely incorrect.

Since 2008, we have been extremely cautious about taking on new external staff and this will continue to be the case for all our business units. Our primary point of departure remains one of keeping the family together.
Wim Kooijman, HR & Industrial Relations

De Telegraaf’s reporter unjustly implies that KLM’s spokespersons have announced that there may be job losses. This conclusion is the journalist’s alone.
