KLM traffic in August 2017: 8 million passengers in two months

Summary

As was the case in July, KLM Passenger also had a busy month in August 2017, with passenger traffic up 6.4% compared to August 2016.

The increase in KLM traffic in August can be mainly attributed to European routes, where both capacity and traffic increased sharply. My compliments to KLM staff for their superb performance in the busy summer months!
Pieter Elbers - KLM President & CEO

Network-wide, the increase in capacity was restricted to 1.8% (in ASKs). Load factor did, however, increase by 0.7 point to 91.4%. In total, KLM (including Transavia) carried more than 8 million passengers in the two summer months. At Cargo, traffic declined by 2.8%, which was lower than the decline in capacity of 3.6%, resulting in a 0.5-point increase in load factor, as was the case last month.
