KLM prohibits the carriage of lithium battery-operated, self-balancing devices.

Summary

Lithium batteries can generate a great deal of heat if short-circuited. Furthermore, these batteries may catch fire if damaged, improperly designed or improperly assembled.

As a precaution to ensure the safety of our passengers, KLM has therefore decided to prohibit the carriage of lithium battery-operated, self-balancing devices, such as hoverboards, airboards, oxboards, e-skates, waveboards, Urunners etc. This precaution will take effect immediately.
