KLM operates first Embraer 175+ over the Netherlands

Summary

KLM Cityhopper will today operate its first passenger flight with the new Embraer 175+. The aircraft will complete an hour-long excursion over the Netherlands. The route passes over the provinces of Zeeland, South Holland, North Holland and Friesland, as well as the Wadden Islands off the Dutch coast.

The new addition, seating 88 passengers, will operate its first commercial service from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Stavanger in Norway on Sunday, 27 March 2016. It will subsequently fly to destinations such as Ålesund, Torp Sandefjord, Turin and Manchester. Ultimately, the E175+ will fly to all European destinations that KLM Cityhopper serves on behalf of KLM. Through 2018, KLM will add a total of 17 Embraer 175+ aircraft to its fleet. Combined with the 30 Embraer 190s already in service, KLM Cityhopper will then have Europe’s largest Embraer fleet.

(*) In the wake of the attacks in Brussels, the first passenger flight will have a sober character.
