For a short amount of time on 2 November, the KLM flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur flew closer to another aircraft than is normal. Standard procedure for this kind of situation was followed and the distance between the aircraft ensured. The KLM flight did not have to deviate from its normal altitude. There was a distance of more than 6 km between the two aircraft. The safety of passengers and crew was at no point diminished.
