Erik Swelheim appointed statutory director of KLM

Summary

Erik Swelheim (49) has been appointed to the statutory board of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. His appointment was ratified at KLM’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 23 April. As a board member, Mr Swelheim will retain his current position as Chief Financial Officer.

Erik Swelheim joined KLM as Corporate Controller on 1 April 2004. He has been the company’s Chief Financial Officer since 1 March 2012. Prior to joining KLM, Mr Swelheim held various posts in finance at Unilever.

With the appointment of Erik Swelheim, KLM’s statutory board now consists of four persons. His three fellow directors are President & CEO Camiel Eurlings, Pieter Elbers and Erik Varwijk.
