Just a few days before the ICAO’s General Assembly, which should lead to the adoption of a global agreement to offset CO2 emissions in the airline industry, illustrating the industry's efforts to reduce its environmental impact, this honour underlines our commitment to sustainable development
Jean Marc Janaillac, Chairman and CEO of Air France-KLM
Every day, Air France does all it can to design the future of air transport. We want the transport we provide to be caring, innovative and responsible. I am delighted with this award and this recognition by the DJSI. Our company and each of its teams can be proud. We intend to maintain our leading position in the air transport industry
Frédéric Gagey, Chairman and CEO of Air France.
For KLM, our challenge is to find the right balance between offering our customers high-quality products and services and meeting our commitment of responsibility towards the environment in which we operate
Pieter Elbers - KLM President & CEO

To integrate sustainable development into its activities and operations, Air France-KLM is concentrating on four main issues:

  • reducing its environmental impact by optimizing operations, innovating with the supply chain and by involving all staff and the entire industry,
  • taking into account the challenges of sustainable development throughout the service chain to provide customers with innovative and responsible products and services,
  • promoting a responsible human resources policy and encouraging personal development to ensure the motivation and professionalism of employees,
  • contributing to the economic and social development of the territories where the Group operates.

Air France-KLM is continuing its innovative actions in favour of sustainable development, especially by integrating the principles of the circular economy into its operations and by developing sustainable alternative fuels for the air transport industry.
